I like to grow with a company — to feel a part of something that is helping and accomplishing something for communities. I like to learn and grow.

I am proud of the work we do. I truly believe that we meet our mission of commitment, integrity, education etc.  I am glad that what we do allows the small communities to maintain an emergency response system.  I haven’t worked for very many companies but I can tell you that the companies I have worked for all had missions. This is truly the only company that actually lives their mission.

I do this to assist the squad members who are a licensed professional medical person, a jack of all trades (and then some too) who must deal with government demands from city, county, state and federal regulations.  This is in addition to the fact that the squad member has to be ready at a moments notice to perform a miracle and get someone to the hospital alive for further help  — all under the word “volunteer.”

This company is a leader in the EMS industry and a place where my background, experience and skills can be put to use helping a great group of individuals (fire and EMS) so they have the opportunity  to continue to do what they do best. I have never been bored at this job. It is ever-changing and new opportunities seem to arise constantly. And we have great, unusual benefits!

I work at EMS Billing Services Inc. because our company is doing wonderful work in this area. Even though I just recently began working here, I can see all the we are doing for these squads and the towns we serve. I get a great deal of satisfaction doing this type of work and feel the challenge of this company. Getting the money in the door for these squads is so worthwhile and it makes me feel good. It puts to work all the skills I’ve learned over the past 16 years and gives me goals to reach that may not always be easy, but obtainable. The benefits of working here that you provide makes it an enjoyable atmosphere and I feel that the owner cares about her employees. I respect the fact she gives older workers a chance to use their skills and give them a sense of still having worth, even though they are not in their 20s or 30s. I have seen places where older workers are not appreciated and it is nice when you know that someone thinks you are doing a good job and lets you know that. I am learning so much here and that is another reason I love working here. This job is so much more than just a paycheck to me.

I want the squad member to be able to turn to EMS Billing Services Inc., with confidence that we will answer their questions correctly so they can rely upon our answers to return to the squad to do their medical assistance and transporting, knowing that we have been trained to handle the squad’s needs professionally. Hopefully, this allows these volunteer squad members to save time by reaping the benefits of our services since they have already invested their time into keeping current on how to save someone’s life. I also want to be able to answer questions and train to help everyone’s job go smoother and get it done!

Why do I work for EMS Billing Services Inc.? Because I have never had a boss as kind and considerate as Leslie Vaughn! We are treated very well here and I’ve always enjoyed coming to work. Knowing you care about us as not just employees but as people is very difficult to find. I loved working on the ambulance, but since my knee replacement I’m no longer able to do that so billing is the next best thing. Being here and learning all the different areas and states has been challenging. Getting out and meeting the volunteers has been a humbling experience and has given me a whole new appreciation for my job. I love my job!
